Problems installing large apps to your HTC Desire with cyanogenmod7? No worries, here’s how to solve it!
The problem is due to the small size of the cache partition on your system disk. I guess this was a decision made by the cyanogenmod crew to maximize the system partition. The simple solution is to redirect the market’s download directory to a place where there’s (hopefully) plenty of room: Your SD Card.
NOTE: You must root your phone to be able to do this!
Here’s how to do it:
1. Install a terminal emulator
2. Start the terminal emulator, and type in these commands (without the hash # or dollar sign $):
$ mkdir /mnt/sdcard/market-download-cache $ su - # cd /cache # mv download download.bak # ln -s /mnt/sdcard/market-download-cache download
3. Done! Restart your market app and install away!
